EXPERIENCE
Arthur (Art) R. Snyder began his professional career as an accountant with Price Waterhouse's New Orleans office in 1965. As an accountant for one of the then "Big Eight" accounting firms, Art served as an auditor, developing a broad understanding of the issues which business entities face. After his admission to the Texas State Bar in 1970, Art began the practice of law with a prestigious Dallas law firm where he developed extensive experience in securities and business law. In 1973 Art began his own law firm. In 1976, Art and Donald Barley, also a Certified Public Accountant, opened a law firm in North Dallas to bring their legal and accounting knowledge into focus for their clients. That firm formed the nucleus of what is today Snyder & Snyder Attorneys, LLP.

Art maintained the core of that first firm and guided both the firm and his clients through three decades of growth and remarkable change.

Art has handled complex tax litigation matters, with a record of successfully pursuing his clients' issues before the Internal Revenue Service. Art serves his business clients as general counsel, providing guidance and legal advice on the many issues companies regularly face. Art assists his clients with complex business transactions which range from business formation and capitalization matters to complex reorganizations and business purchases/sales. Art serves his individual clients in the areas of estate planning, tax planning and wealth preservation. Art assists his business and individual clients with a wide range of tax related matters including tax planning and preparation, as well as the settlement of IRS disputes.
